Lloyd Roffe
FRACS (Ortho), MBChB, BSc Orthopaedic Surgeon
Lloyd is a well-respected and trusted New Zealand trained orthopaedic surgeon. He works in both
the public and private sectors and hopes to provide the highest quality orthopaedic care in New
Zealand. Lloyd is internationally trained in complex hip and knee surgery and one of the first in
New Zealand to be fellowship trained in robotic and direct anterior hip surgery. His sports surgery
was refined with the Unisports Group in Auckland where he cared for all levels of athletes from
school age through to international and NZ representatives. Lloyd then travelled to Halifax,
Canada where he completed a prestigious joint replacement fellowship with world renowned
experts in robotic surgical techniques
Lloyd is actively involved in the training and teaching of young clinicians and surgeons. He is a
member of the New Zealand Sports and Knee Surgery Society, Hip Society and Trauma Society.
Lloyd is a national representative on the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association Technology
Committee – advising on new and innovative technologies that can help those in need. From his
time in Canada he is still a member of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association and a member of
the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Through these roles Lloyd is often attending
and presenting at local and international meetings.
