About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Pre‑Admission to play a key role in ensuring patients are safe, informed, and fully prepared for surgery. Your primary focus will be on pre-admission assessment, with additional involvement in Central Admissions to support smooth patient flow on the day of surgery. You will work within a friendly, supportive senior nursing team committed to high‑quality, compassionate care. This permanent position offers 72 hours per fortnight with rostered day shifts.

About You

You are a compassionate, professional Registered Nurse with:

Current Nursing Council of NZ registration and practising certificate

Strong Pre‑Admission or pre‑operative assessment experience

Excellent clinical judgement and patient assessment skills

Effective communication within a multidisciplinary team and strong problem‑solving abilities

Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to team goals

Cultural awareness and commitment to equitable care

Strong confidence in using clinical IT systems

You take pride in preparing patients for surgery, supporting their journey, and coordinating care to ensure safe, efficient perioperative outcomes.
